Congratulations writers! You have completed your first month of high school! Last week we started composing our first draft to our first essay. We also had our first quick check assessing your revision skills. You had to read a proposal letter from a student proposing more involvement for his school's district. The proposal was about earth day and recycling, therefore the writing prompt for practice was on recycling. You had to answer the questions; what do you know about recycling; what is the purpose; what materials are recyclable; and does your family recycle. Later this week, we will go over the scores and break down the text to understand what we did correctly and what we missed.
Tuesday and Wednesday, we spent time researching symbols and looking for symbols that could represent our life. We had to find a symbol for each of the following categories: past, future, family, choice, and personality. Today, you should have six completed paragraphs so that we can start revising and improving our essay. Thursday and Friday were writing time and most students completed four paragraphs leaving only two paragraphs for homework. On Friday, we also started to design our mandalas for the presentation part.
Things we need to learn as a class-
It was another great week, but now that one month has passed, we must continue to look forward focusing on our communication skills and learning as much as we can so that we can all become effective communicators!

Things we need to learn as a class-
- How to save a document to your home drive.
- How to save a document to a USB drive.
- How to copy and paste images.
