This week we finished reading Writing Into Action by Carol Jago. To determine the central idea of the text, we read it closely highlighting the ideas that stood out to us and organized these ideas by selecting a thinking map of our choice and then presented our findings to the class. I know it was nerve-wrecking for most of you, but I was so proud to see each and everyone of you stand up with courage and tell the class what you learned. I observed that some of you doubt yourself, and that's okay because with time that will go away. Just know that you are smarter than you think.
I was inspired to hear that most of you really connected with the following points:
Writing prompts: I want to learn how to Dance in a Year, Neil Gaiman- don't deprive the world-show them your uniqueness, how do you feel about presenting in front of your peers, what do you know about fashion, and recall a memory of going away.
Here's how some of you answered the writing prompts.

I was inspired to hear that most of you really connected with the following points:
- You have to write a lot to produce your best writing.
- Write about what matters most to you and you will want to write
- Revision is what helps make your writing the strongest it can be
